Fri Night Already! Yay!

I’m really beginning to love our Friday night family nights. This week we’re going to do homemade pizza! Decker really loves to roll out the dough and put everything together. We always have a bunch of choices for the kids to put on their pizzas. Decker’s favorite is always sausage and broccoli. That kid cracks me up.

Basic Pizza Dough
1 1/4c warm water -3 1/2c flour
1 tsp active dry yeast -1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
2 tbl extra-virgin olive oil – Cornmeal for sprinkling

Combine water, yeast and oil into a large bowl. Add flour and salt, and stir until dough comes together. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth.
Turn dough into a lightly oiled bowl, cover and let rise for about 1 hr. Then, divide and put in separate bowls, and let rise for another 20 mins.
Roll out the dough into desired shape, add toppings.
Bake at 500° 8-10 min until golden brown.

This is one recipe I know works, I’ve used it lots of times, and my kids love it every time 🙂
