Week before Halloween

So this last weekend we were soo busy. We had our actual field trip to go see the bats 🙂 Honestly, glad we went a week earlier, was much more fun…and way easier to get pics 🙂 On Sunday we had a party to go to at UT. Kids had a blast, as soon as I get the pics from Jason, I’ll do another scrap page. After that we went down to the in-laws for Jared’s 2nd birthday. Jason’s got the pics of those too. My phone’s been….well..buggy, so I should get a new one today (yay for year warranties) then I can start taking the pics again.

Ok, I know, I’ve slacked.

So, yeah…last week was insanely busy, so I posted nothing! At least I have some material to work with for this week, though! Ok, so on Saturday night the school had an “optional” field trip over to a bridge in Round Rock that TONS of bats live under. So we went, then someone else was there, and reminded us…..the field trip is next week! Well….we stayed anyways and had lots of fun, next time we’ll just bring a picnic with!

Gotta love the Dollar Store

So yesterday Decker was just about as perfect as a boy could be, so we took a trip to the Dollar Store for fun. Very fist thing, we see these silly hats, and the boys both try them on. Sooo funny! Just glad I remembered to take pictures!! Today should be fun too….first Parent/Teacher conference! Eek! I’m not too worried, but ya never know 🙂

Morning Phone Call

So last night, we had a fun Friday night. We made Mexican mix casserole, which is really just chili, corn, cheese, and doritos. 🙂 We also watched Karate Kid. Was hilarious how excited Decker got at the end, all jumping around and such when the kid won.
Then, this morning I woke up to a phone call. The weird thing was….it was Jason’s phone calling. He was in bed right next to me, so I pick up the phone….it was Jared! That little stinker had figured out how to call me, and was telling me about how he was playing trains with his brother. He was just chit-chatting away when Jason opened the door and he walked right in. That kid is WAY too smart for his own good. Jason even double checked to see if he had called anyone else, and he hadn’t. Know, hopefully Jason will keep his phone in a safer place, although the morning phone call was kinda fun. 🙂

Grocery Shopping….Yay

Ok, so yesterday I made a meal plan for the entire month. Yes, the whole thing, and only 3 days are repeated recipes. I’m so proud, but Decker did help me fill it out, so I can’t take all the credit.
So with that, I made a list of stuff I needed form the grocery store for the week. And another list for the month. It was kinda nice having both lists, cause if I saw something on sale, I could look at either list, and buy if I needed, otherwise just passed it up. I ended up getting TONS of food for the month for pretty cheap. It’s a pain to do that, but holy cow, it’s nice 🙂
