Yes you can make laundry soap!

3c Borax
2c Baking Soda
2c Washing Soda*
2c grated soap**

Combine all together, and to get a nice smooth texture, I have a cheap food processor I mix it all with in batches. If you add some grated soap with the other power it processes better, gets finer and doesn’t gum up.

*Washing Soda = sodium carbonate. You can get it at most grocery stores, or at pool supply stores.

**For Soap I’ve used Zote, and am currently using Fels Naptha. If you have extreme sensitivity you can use Dove.

If you want, you can add some essential oils for extra smell, but I generally don’t bother.

I’ve been using this for the past year and it works great. Funny enough, we were using dryer sheets for awhile and when we ran out we were honestly too lazy to get more. We haven’t needed them at all!!!

Now this is a small version of what I do in batches. It’s what I used when I first started out to try it out. I do this recipe times four now for ease.
